Skin Fungal Infections: Symptoms, Causes, Treatments
Human skin is a natural host for fungal growth and infection. Right from unhygienic conditions to environment to contagious factors, fungal infections are very common right from childhood till elderly people. The reasons could also be preexisting skin problems which weren’t treated properly, or the medication not taken completely. Fungal infections start with appearing on the superficial are of the skin and when left uncared for, it might proceed to the next layers of the skin as well.

Curd
Curd consists of many probiotics and good bacteria that can soothe your skin and also help kill fungal infections. Regular application of curd over the infected area will prove to be an effective skin fungal infection treatment.
You can spread over set curds to the affected area; let it on for at least 15 minutes before you wash out the area.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar contains antibacterial and antifungal properties, and not only oral application of this vinegar, but also consuming it will lead to good results. Ix two tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar to one cup of warm water and drink this liquid daily in the morning on an empty stomach. It will help fight fungal infections.
Garlic
Every clove of garlic contains many antibacterial and antifungal properties. Making a paste out of a couple of garlic pods and applying it on the affected area will cure the fungal infection eventually but permanently. Garlic is also an excellent antifungal agent for infections in women. Wrapping up a clove of garlic in a gauze cloth and inserting it in the vagina will kill the fungus once and for all.
Tea tree oil
With antifungal and antiseptic properties, tea tree oil is a remedy for almost every infection varying from acne, pimple to fungal patches on one’s skin. Preparing a mixture of 1 part of tea tree oil to 3 parts of aloe gel and applying it onto the affected region will help in curing the infection. Tea tree oil works best when used for oral application over fungal infections.
Coconut oil
Rubbing extra virgin coconut oil over the affected area will help kill fungus. You could also prefer to mix cinnamon powder along with organic coconut oil and apply it as a pack over the affected region. Cinnamon has a lot of antifungal and antibacterial properties, and when added with coconut oil, its effect becomes enhanced.
Green tea bags
Green tea bags are the best remedy for localized fungal infections. After you’ve used a green tea bag for your cup of tea, don’t throw away the bags. Store it in an air tight container and refrigerate it, so that you can use it when you have a random rash or itchy patch due to fungal infection. Place the cold green tea bag over the infected area and it will soothe the inflated patch of skin immediately.
