7 Best Home Remedies to Soothe Sunburn
Sun, the God of Light is the most worshipped in all parts of the country. But for his existence, the world would have been a dark space to live in. Having said that it is also notable that many people do not have the capacity to withstand his wrath when he shines at his peak. The side effects of a highly shining sun will leave behind sunburns which affects the skin very badly. Here’s what sunburn can bring you:

- Coconut oil: This natural and extensive moisturizing liquid works like magic on sunburns. Apply a liberal amount of this oil to the affected patches/area and leave it on the skin, so that it will soak in the oil for a while. This will not only soothe your irritable patches, but will also leave behind fresh and new skin.
- Vinegar: 1:1 vinegar: water is another boon to soothe sunburns. Mixing up equal parts of vinegar with water and spraying/applying directly to the affected part will do immense good.
- Milk: The most effective tropical treatment ever known, milk is the first go-to for people with sunburns. Applying raw milk on sunburns is a very effective home remedy to get relieved of sunburns. The reason being, milk creates a protein layer on the skin thus providing relief to the discomfort.

Aloe Vera: “Apply some aloe” is an often heard of phrase. Right from grannies till babies, aloe does a huge amount of goodness to any skin related problem. It helps to soothe sunburns very effectively. If you have a small kitchen garden, then grow up aloe plants in it, it will be prove to be the best thing you did for yourself. Cut across the leaf, take up some fresh aloe gel and apply it to your sunburns. This will not only give you the cooling effect, but will also heal your rashes.

Baking Soda: Add a couple of heaped tablespoons of baking soda to your bathing water. Taking bath with this water will prove to work on your sunburns in the most comforting way!

Potatoes: This is the pain relieving veggie for sunburns. Grind a few chopped pieces of raw potato with water. Apply this mixture to the affected areas and let it work like a skin pack. Rinse it off with plain or cold water after 15 minutes to experience less irritation and less pain on your sunburns. It will eventually heal your skin on regular use and will bring back the old charm to your skin.

Water and other liquids: Apart from the external treatment that you give your sunburns, you must also ensure that you giving your body liberal amounts of fluid apart from the generous water intake. This will heal your system from inside, keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized, thus providing relief from the sunburns!
However, the best remedy is prevention than suffering. Apply generous amounts of sunscreen lotion before you step out into the scorching sun. Carry a scarf or hat and sunshades with you and prevent and pamper your skin!
